Tome theme · Law firms and advisors
Counsel. Built to book the first consultation.
For law firms first, and for accountants, financial advisors, consultants and medical specialists: practices whose credibility is the product. It reads like a well-made printed document, with the proof in the margins and a compliance label on every proof block.

Palettes
Four palettes. Pick the one that suits the practice.
Every palette as the whole home page, side by side. Scroll inside any of them to see it top to bottom. Under the colors, the sections stay the same.

Captured from the demo at 1440px. Hollis & Marrow, a fictional five-person business law firm.
Dark appears in one place only, the matter intake band. Each palette has a derived dark mode for sites that want one.
The sections
What each section does for the practice.
These are crops from the demo, all in Vellum. What does the firm do, who will I deal with, what has it done, and what happens after I get in touch?

Practice areas as a numbered list
Each area gets a section mark, one line on what it covers and the lawyer who leads it, and links to its own page.

The Annotated Page
Practice pages read like an annotated brief. The prose sits in the reading column, and the margin carries the responsible lawyer, citations, fee notes, jurisdictions and the date the page was last reviewed. On a phone the notes fold in after the paragraph they belong to.

Recent matters, labeled
Results as dated entries with a photo and one key figure, each carrying the "past result" label attorney-advertising rules ask for. The label is a field on the block, so it travels with every entry.

The people
Portraits in one consistent treatment, each with a real credential and one personal line. Clients hire people, so the page shows them early.

What happens after you get in touch
One large panel with a step bar under it. The four steps are the same on every page, so a client knows what an engagement looks like before the first call.
That's what a visitor sees. Here's what you get to build it.
What's in the package, and what it's built from.
Navbar 7 with a two-line name lockup that compacts on scroll. Footer 7 with offices, hours, admissions, and the attorney-advertising and disclaimer text set as proper small print.
Vellum, Chancery, Sage and Slate, each with a light page and a derived dark mode.
Source Serif 4 at a book weight for headings, prose and small-caps labels, and Public Sans for buttons, forms and fine print. Both ship inside the package under the SIL Open Font License.
The numbered practice list, the Annotated Page, recent matters, the process panel, the team grid, the awards ledger, labeled client quotes, the FAQ and the matter intake.
A dark band with a three-part form (you, the matter, in brief), a field for checking conflicts, and a plain confidentiality note beside it.
One quiet reveal and an optional laid-paper grain on Vellum. No carousels and no marquees.
None.
What it's built from
A theme owns no blocks of its own. It restyles blocks from the Tome packs below.
| On the page | Block | Pack | With the theme |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hero, client quotes, FAQ | High Impact Hero, Testimonial, FAQ | Marketing Starter | Free |
| Credibility figures | Proposal Stat Strip | Proposal Pack | Free |
| Practice list, process, matters, awards | Phase Ledger, Dated Ledger, Zone Directory | Dossier Blocks | Included |
| Team grid, matter intake | Team Roster, Contact | Agency Essentials | Included |
| Annotated Page, fact card | Annotated Page, Info Panel | Editorial Blocks | Included |
Buying the theme includes every pack marked Included above, so you can build the pages exactly the way the demo has them. The theme also restyles any other Tome block you add.

Developers and agencies install it themselves; business owners usually want it set up. It's the same theme either way.

We set it up
We install Counsel on a new site and replace Hollis & Marrow with your firm: your practice areas, people, offices and admissions, with your own photos. You get a written proposal with the price before any work starts. The advertising wording stays your call; the theme gives it a place on every proof block.
